"Liverpool would sack Dalglish"

Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson, assessing "the Reds" will not fire coach Kenny Dalglish. It is expressed in response to poor performance Liverpool Premier League last few games.

Although managed to win the Carling Cup, Liverpool's performance this season is not yet satisfactory. In fact, 0-2 defeat of Newcastle on Sunday (4/1/2012), is the sixth defeat of the last seven games in the Premier League.

"I'm not sure he (Dalglish) will be fired. It was a bad result, but the owner would not do anything stupid like that (fire Dalglish)," Lawrenson said as reported by the BBC.

"Moreover, they can win both titles, the FA Cup this season. Therefore, it is very strange if he was fired," he added.

In particular Lawrenson assess, among other factors Liverpool decline in performance is less the maximum contribution of new players bought this season. He considered, Andy Carroll, Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing, Jordan Henderson and less to contribute the maximum to the team.

"The biggest problem is Adam, Downing, Carroll and Henderson are all new accounts only six goals. They should be able to contribute 25-30 goals for Liverpool," said Lawrenson.

"Right now, they do not need to survive as well, but they are so desperate to score," he said.
